Love to listen to music while RVing? This type of adventurous yet relaxing life tends to go well with a lot of different genres. Here are a few of our favorites to play while living in our favorite place in the world: our RV.
RVing Music Genre #1: Country
Okay, okay. We realize that saying country is a great genre of music for RVing may be kind of cliche.
But think about it - country music tends to sing about what’s most important in life. You hear a lot about relationships. You hear about having fun and partying, enjoying life. You hear about the naivety of youth and how we grow up and have to be adults.
Those are all true and important things, and it’s good for all of us to tune into country music now and then to help us remember what really matters. Money, wealth, stuff - that’s not what is important.
The simple fact that you’re spending time in an RV already says you understand that, and country music can help re-instill that.
RVing Music Genre #2: Jazz
Have you ever been to a jazz club? It’s a great place to go relax, listen to great music, and just enjoy yourself. If you haven’t been before, try to check one out soon (assuming you can find one that’s open - COVID closed a lot of them down.)
The good news is you can bring the jazz club to you. The internet makes it so easy to get great jazz music within seconds, so that part is covered. You just need to figure out the food, which you can either cook yourself or get takeout.
Here are some of our favorite RVing snacks to hold you over while you try your hand at cooking.
The point is, jazz music can be a great way to unwind after a long day. Since you’re RVing, obviously a “long day” doesn’t have to mean you were working. Maybe you went on a long hike. You may have spent a ton of time down at the beach. Perhaps you explored the town you’re staying in for a few weeks. Or maybe you just hung around the RV all day doing a lot of nothing.
It doesn’t really matter what you did all day. What matters is how you end it - and relaxing to jazz music and enjoying time with friends or family can’t really be beat.
RVing Music Genre #3: Rock and Roll
There’s a reason why so many of the best road trip songs are rock and roll. It’s a great, upbeat genre. It’s fun, motivating, and helps you stay awake during that long drive!
Even people who say they don’t like rock and roll will find themselves singing along after a while. It’s almost impossible not to sing along with this music.
We think the best time to play rock and roll is while you’re driving. Save something a bit more relaxing (such as jazz) for when you’re just hanging out around the RV. But when you’re actually on the road and driving the RV, turn up the rock and roll.
What do you think? What is your favorite music to listen to while out on the open road in your RV?
