It’s always a lot of fun to go travel around in an RV. They can be a cheap investment for people who like to drive and camp out while exploring a lot of different parks and sights across the country. However, a lot of RVs can be pretty small and cramped and might not be the best sleeping experience if you are bringing a lot of people along with you.

It can be hard to find extra sleeping room inside of an RV because space is already very limited. As a result, you will have to get creative with your space allocations inside of an RV in order to add some sleeping space.

One easy way to create a sleeping spot is to use the cab. Even though it might be small, it should be enough room for a kid or a smaller adult. Some people choose to add in a full bed in the cab itself, or might even be able to cram two smaller ones if the cab is extra wide.

For those who do not want to add a bed, you might be able to use space next to the driver’s seat in order to sleep in. Others will just want to use the two big chairs in the driver’s seat for a bed by turning them towards each other and then adding in a center support column so someone can lay across.

Another idea for sleeping space is to add an overhead somewhere in the RV if there is enough space. Just be sure to add some sort off a ladder and a reading lamp to make it seem inviting and cozy to a guest or visitor. You might even be able to lay a sleeping pad on top of a kitchenette or a dining table if it is big enough, or just place some blankets and pillows on a sofa to make a comfortable sleeping spot.

Other RV users choose to pack a few folding and collapsible beds that can be stored out of the way in the day. These types of collapsible beds can be good for smaller kids if they can be made into bunk beds.

Collapsible beds can also be turned into seating areas during the day. Another good way to save space and have a sleeping room is to install a wall bed that can be folded up and town with ease.

These beds are good because they can be stowed for more space or left out to have a seating area during the day with people. Some RVs will come with the attachments for a wall bed already, but kits to install ones on your own are pretty easy to buy and build.

Finally, sleeping bags and other air mattresses are a good choice for travelers who are not staying in an RV forever. You can put these anywhere inside of an RV and they can be folded and stored with ease during the day.

They might not be the most comfortable, but you can cram a lot of them inside of an RV and can be a cheap way to come up with some extra bed space.

Keep all of these ideas in mind as you think about how to make good sleeping spots for your RV. It’s definitely possible with a little bit of creativity and imagination.
