An RV (Recreational Vehicle) vacation is a great way to spend time with your family. This spring break, consider taking an RV to your destination. It may seem a bit early to start planning ahead for spring break, but you’ll be glad you did! There are several amazing places where you can go. Here are some of the top spots to go on an RV vacation with your family during Spring Break.

Grand Canyon
The most popular RV destination is the Grand Canyon in Arizona; go and check out the powerful and inspiring landscape. Over 5 million people a year travel to this amazing location and there are tons of things to do and see. While there, you can go hiking down to the bottom of the cannon, you can take a boat through the canyon on the Colorado river and there are even several visitor services where you can have a nice meal at one of their many restaurants. The Grand Canyon Association (www.grandcanyon.org) offers the Grand Canyon Field Institute’s exciting and informative classes and guided tours, backpacking and river trips. They also offer a Junior Ranger program for children!

Southern California
Another popular destination is Southern California. Southern California is full of amazing adventures and the climate is perfect in the spring. There are tons of beaches to play on, LegoLand, San Diego Zoo, Sea World and plenty of wonderful places to eat. The Spring is popular for their annual Spring Desert Wildflowers; located only two hours from San Diego, you can see the amazing display of wildflowers. If you are interested in flowers, there is also a great daffodil display in the Julian (the Gold Rush Mountain Town). It is impossible to be bored in Southern California.

Another option is to travel up (or down) Highway 1, stretching over 650 miles of California’s coastline featuring some of the most beautiful sights in the United States. There are many RV Parks to stay at along the way.

Orlando, Florida
What could be better than taking your whole family to Orlando, Florida for the famous Walt Disney World? Go and hang out with the World’s favorite mouse and the whole gang! For many reasons, Florida makes the prime vacation for a family’s RV vacation. You will find everything you need here! Universal Orlando Resort and Sea World, plenty of restaurants and shopping, and course very close to Florida beaches!

Atlanta, Georgia
Maybe you don’t want to brave Disney World in the middle of Spring Break. How about a less hectic trip to Atlanta, Georgia? Atlanta makes an easy and fun family spring-break destination for many reasons, for its accessibility to history, wonderful tourist sites, and scenic attractions. You could take your kids to the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Nation Historic Site. You will be constantly amazed by how much there is to see like the Amicalola Falls State Park where you can hike to see the amazing 730-foot waterfall in the Appalachian Mountains.

Crater Lake
When planning an RV vacation, you can’t go wrong with driving to Crater Lake. The spectacular views of Crater Lake make it one of the most popular camping destinations. Crater Lake is situated in Southern Oregon in Crater Lake National Park. The lake is filled only with rainwater and snow and goes down to 1,900 feet. This makes it the deepest lake in the United States. Crater Lake has a great RV Park called Big Pines RV Park where you can camp out with your RV. Activities include hiking, biking, boating and you can even swim.

Have fun with your family this Spring Break by taking them out in the RV to a destination fit for the whole family!
