Is there anything better than relaxing and eating breakfast on a quiet morning while RVing? We’ll go ahead and answer for you - no. The answer is no.
A great day needs to start off right. To do that, here are a few breakfast ideas. Some are quick and easy, others take a bit more time. But they’re all fantastic. Just make sure you plan ahead and have everything you need to make what you want.
RVing Breakfast #1: Breakfast Burritos
Breakfast burritos are great because they’re easy to make but let you combine a lot of flavors together. You don’t need much - just eggs, cheese and salsa is great. Adding something else like bacon or sausage or peppers is tasty too, but isn’t necessary.
How do you cook the eggs? That’s up to you. Obviously a stove is an option, or if it’s warm outside you can cook it over the campfire.
RVing Breakfast #2: Hashbrown Casserole
A hot, cheesy, hashbrown casserole in the morning is another great way to start the day. Even though it’s a bit more time-intensive to make, it also fills a different need than something like a breakfast burrito.
A burrito is good anytime of year, but typically isn’t very hot. A hot bowl of hashbrown casserole is nice in the colder months as it helps you warm up in the morning as you get ready for your new day.
Combine it with some coffee or black tea and you’re all set.
Breakfast #3: Breakfast Pizza
Have you ever had breakfast pizza? There are a bunch of ways to do it. For example, you could do it like you’re making a regular pizza, just with breakfast-y stuff.
- Pizza dough
- Cheese
- Eggs
- Bacon
- Sausage
- Etc.
An easier option - great for RVIng - is to use an English muffin as your dough. It’s a nice, firm little circle that is a great little pizza crust. Just put the other foods on top and you’re ready to eat!
RV Breakfast #4: Pancakes
There are a few reasons why we had to include pancakes on this list.
First, they’re easy to make. Just buy the powder that only requires water, blend it up, and pour it on the hot skillet and flip when ready. Simple!
Second, you don’t need very much. Water, the mix, and a skillet is all you need.
Third, you can add a lot of variety to pancakes:
- Throw in a few chocolate chips
- Add fruit to make something like blueberry or strawberry pancakes
- Cook a plain (or chocolate chip) pancake and eat with peanut butter and syrup
- Eat it plain, or with just butter
There’s no wrong way to eat a pancake!
Breakfast #5: Cereal and Milk
Yes, we included the staple. Who doesn’t like cereal and milk? There’s a reason why every grocery store has an entire aisle dedicated to breakfast cereal. It has something for just about everyone under the sun! Sweet or healthy, cold or hot, corn-based or wheat-based, you name it.
Plus, it’s even easier than the other things we’ve listed here!
What’s your favorite breakfast while RVing? We’d love to hear from you!
