Halloween! Everyone is into Halloween whether it’s eating yummy pumpkin flavored goodies, carving Jack-o’-lanterns, cuddling up in front of a scary movie with your loved one, or dressing up in costume!
Halloween is
also a very good time to take an RV trip. There are lots of RV locations to
visit this creepy Halloween season. Whether you are a skeptic or a believer,
you should visit some haunted grounds this Halloween and have fun while being
scared.
Here are 5 RV locations to visit this Halloween
season:
1.
Holy Ghost Campground, Santa
Fe National Forest, New Mexico
This
campground is the perfect for camping this Halloween season. Not only is the
New Mexico campground beautiful, but it is also very legendary. Old stories
have it that the ghost of the priest who killed the Pueblo people still haunts
the grounds, unable to rest since his death.
2.
Athens, Ohio
Although
Athens, Ohio seems like an unassuming college town, southeastern Ohio city is
one of the most haunted locations in America.
If you are very brave, you can camp out nearby Hocking hells and try
heading out to the numerous hiking trails around the old asylum compound.
People say that many of the inmates never made it to freedom, and are still hanging
around the city today.
3.
New Orleans, Louisiana
This is an
incredible RV location for Halloween. The town is well known for its SPIRITS.
It is a great place for an adult-oriented Halloween gateway.
When you get to New Orleans, you should have FUN! Party well on Bourbon Street
before you retire back to your RV in time to avoid the wandering spirits. You
should also never forget to visit one of the town’s famous cemeteries.
4.
St. Augustine, Florida
You should go
to St. Augustine because it is the oldest settlement in the country, which
means it’s had lots of time to accumulate spirits, both bad and friendly. You
should also not miss a trip to the Old Jail. It is said that the Old jail is
the most haunted building in the town.
5.
Disney Wilderness Campground
If you are
looking for a less haunted place to go for you and your family, go to the
Disney World. The theme park hosts an annual Halloween event that is fun. Get
the chance to see the Headless Horseman parade and then return to your RV set
up in the on-site Wilderness Campground. The campground is large and luxurious.
It also supports 50-amp hook-ups, Wi-Fi, and cable. The campground has multiple
stores, restaurants, and activities for the family.
There are so
many RV locations you can go to enjoy Halloween with your family, but be
careful the locations might be HAUNTED. What you don't want is an angry spirit
running after you. Don’t get scared! I am just joking. However, whether you
head to an organized haunted event or a real haunted location, make sure you
don’t stay out too late or you may encounter a spectral friend.
