Christmas is right around the corner. Here’s why it’s worth hitting the open road and spending this special holiday in your RV instead of at home.

You Can Focus on the Most Important Parts of Christmas

Let’s face it - we all get caught up in the hustle and bustle this time of year. Shopping areas get busier by the day until Christmas Eve. Companies are slinging ads in front of you left and right, trying to get you to buy “a little something” for yourself or your loved ones. Christmas parties - though much rarer this year than most - are still going on.

Spending Christmas in your RV helps you get away from all of that. It gives you the opportunity to spend some quality time with your favorite people in the world. Isn’t that what Christmas is all about?

RVing on Christmas Lets You Do Something New

Variety is the spice of life. While it’s good to have a “home base,” it’s also good to regularly be experiencing new things. By choosing to do Christmas “a little differently” this year, you’re setting up something that will be one for the record books.

For example, do you really remember Christmas time last year? How about 5 years go? Unless you had something extraordinary happen, probably not. Every Christmas is pretty much the same.

But what if this Christmas you spent it hiking in the Nantahala National Forest? What if you spent it on a beach in southern California, or just outside a big city you’ve never been to before, like Chicago?

Your RV lets you do that. It makes this country your oyster. So instead of just doing Christmas the same way as last year, do something a little different and more memorable.

Save the Trees… for Decorating

This year has been huge for Christmas tree farms. They’re seeing record numbers of people coming out to cut down their own tree. It has become a bit of an event that people like to do so they can get out of the house and do something fun.

That’s great and all… but there are other ways to get out of the house and do something fun. For example, let’s say you go RVing and find yourself in a campsite surrounded by trees and bushes.

This is great for a few reasons:

-       You didn’t have to cut down a living tree for no reason.

-       You got to decorate multiple trees instead of just the one in your living room.

-       You don’t have to worry about watering the tree. Nature does that for you.

Is having a bunch of trees outside of your RV the same as having a nice, big tree in your living room? No. But you can always get that too - just set up a small fake tree in your camper.

Spending Christmas in an RV Lets You Give Yourself a Gift

It’s more fun to give than to receive, right? Why not get the best of both worlds and give yourself a present?

Spending the best time of year in your favorite place in the world - your RV - lets you do just that. Sure, some people may not understand or agree. But if that’s what you want to do, who are they to judge? Give yourself a little something.
