There’s nothing quite like beach camping in an RV. You get to enjoy a beautiful beach and then return to your cozy RV set up just the way you want it.

It doesn’t hurt that there are a lot of excellent beach RV parks around! Here are a few of the best to consider checking out.

Beverly Beach RV Campground in Flagler Beach, FL

The first campground we want to mention is this Beverly Beach campground. With RV hookups on the beach, you can’t beat the views or access.

Another great thing is that you’re in a pretty cool area. Flagler Beach has some neat shops and a cute downtown area, but you can also go up the road to St. Augustine. The oldest city established by Europeans in the United States, St. Augustine, has more shopping and Castillo de San Marcos, an old fort to check out.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park

If you’ve never been to Myrtle Beach, check it out! And when you go, stay a while at this RV campground. It’s a big park with great amenities like a pool, wifi, and on-site food.

The main downside - at least to some people - is that it’s a pretty big park with 1,150 sites on the grounds. So if you’re looking for something a little smaller, check out some of the other parks on this list.

North Landing Beach

Just up the road a bit from Myrtle Beach is North Landing Beach park in southern Virginia. At just 175 sites, it’s large enough, so you don’t feel isolated and alone but small enough that you won’t feel like you’re in a small town.

The sites are right on the water, and everyone has a water view, so you can’t go wrong here.

Andy Bowie County Park

Have you ever heard of Padre Island in Texas? If not, you’re missing out. The beaches are beautiful, making this a great beach trip option if you’re close to the lone star state.

On the island, the park we recommend is Andy Bowie, County Park. It’s very small and doesn’t have many amenities, making it a great stop if you are looking for a quiet place to relax in peace and quiet.

Crazy Horse Campgrounds

When you think of going to the beach, the desert probably doesn’t come to mind. Sure, it has sand, but there aren’t many beaches in the desert.

Lake Havasu, Arizona, breaks the mold. If you stay at Crazy Horse Campgrounds, you get to combine the beauty of the Arizona desert with beautiful beaches on the lake. That’s a win-win.

Paradise by the Sea Resort

If you’re looking for an RV Park that feels like a resort and you’re in the California area, consider Paradise by the Sea. They have a lot of great amenities like a pool, spa, fire pit, and recreation room.

You aren’t right on the beach, but it’s a short walk away. This is actually a good thing for many people because it means you’ll have less sand blowing up into your campsite than some of the other places we’ve recommended.

Honey Bear by the Sea

Located along the Oregon coast, Honey Bear by the Sea is a highly-rated RV beach campground to check out. It has standard amenities like hot showers. Still, you also have things like an indoor recreation room, library, and a small store.

Pacific Beach State Park

Last but not least, if you’re in the Pacific Northwest, you may want to check out Pacific Beach State Park in Washington. It doesn’t have as many amenities as some more extensive campgrounds. Still, it has beautiful views and RV hookups - what else do you really need?

Conclusion

Best of luck on your beach trip! We hope you find an RV beach campground that works well for you. And if you’re considering renting an RV instead of buying your own, make sure you check out our tips for renting RVs before you sign on the dotted line.
