RV travel is often thought of as old-fashioned or outdated. However, that is just not the case. RV travel is currently experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Travelers are once again realizing how amazing the freedom of the open road can be.

The purpose of a vacation is to relax and unwind. Unfortunately, tightened security and a variety of regulations have made airline travel anything but relaxing. This is especially true for people traveling with small children. At some point, it's just not worth it. Many consumers simply avoid taking a vacation because they don't want to have to deal with the hassle of flying.

Traveling by RV eliminates a majority of these concerns. No itinerary and no schedule means that a vacationing family can make their own rules. Best of all, it offers the excitement of new locales without having to deal with the discomfort of sleeping in a strange bed.

It also allows for guilt free relaxing. Most people on a traditional vacation feel guilty simply relaxing. They fill their days with as many activities as possible in order to get their “money's worth” out of their trip. When it comes to RV travel, “doing nothing” is practically an expectation.

While many people may think that RV travel is cost prohibitive, it is still generally much cheaper than taking a the average family on a traditional vacation. This is even after accounting for the assortment of costs associated with RV ownership.
