Using an RV to travel around can be a great way to explore different spots. However, the small and cramped spaces can make packing all of your items a tough endeavor, especially since most RV bathrooms are very small.

Keep these storage ideas and tips in mind as you prepare your RV’s bathroom for travel and for your everyday usage while out on the road.

Utilize Dead Space: Hunting around for dead space in and around your bathroom is a great way to find more opportunities to store items. Once you’ve found a few spots, install small hammocks or nets to safely secure and store items. Additionally, space on top of your toilet is often ignored. Use this area to stow away toilet paper or other cleaning supplies.

Hang Up Hooks on Doors: Hooks can be a good way to clear up floor space since they can be used to store towels, brushes, or bags. Put up some hooks on the front and back of your bathroom door to create some more storage space.

Use Magnets to Your Advantage: Storing all of your accessories can be a breeze if you just start attaching magnetic knife strips to the wall of your bathroom. This lets you stick some of your grooming tools to the wall and frees up valuable shelf and cabinet space for other items.

Combine Your Mirror and Cabinet: Purchase a duel mirror and cabinet for your RV bathroom to save space. Mirrors are obviously important for any bathroom, but make it extra functional by pairing it with a cabinet. Here, you can store small items like medicine that can be easily accessed.

Hang Shower Rods on Your Door: Just below those door hooks is a good spot to hang some shower rods or towel holders. These can be used to hang and store a multitude of towels, and even clothes, without having to sacrifice valuable space in your RV.

Use See-Through Containers: Right next to your sink is a good spot to place some transparent containers for makeup and other accessories. Buying some with multiple drawers helps you divide up your items and also keeps things neat and tidy.

Split Up the Room with a Roller Shade: Another easy way to make the most of your bathroom is to just install a roller shade to separate the area. This gives you a way to clearly divide the space into a dressing area whenever you want. Some bathrooms don’t have a lot of space, so a moveable shade is the best solution to maximize what you have.

Buy a Shower Caddy: Use a shower caddy to make the most of your space in the shower. RV showers are usually very small and space is at a premium. A good caddy lets you carry all of your items with one hand and also helps split up your things so you can see what you need. These caddies are usually cheap and can easily store brushes, shampoos, gels, and other products.

Keep all of these tips in mind to make the most of your RV’s bathroom space. Even though it might seem tough to have to use such a small area, there are plenty of ways to make the most of the space for storage. The key is to think creatively and see where you can innovate.
